It is a goal of the IPA to have every available play session be used to the fullest extent possible and not be wasted as an unused or underused session. In order to help achieve this goal, we will implement the following procedures for signing up for IPA play sessions:
Session Sign-ups
All IPA sessions will be scheduled and managed through PlayTime Scheduler.
Players must sign up for these sessions in PlayTime Scheduler and have a signed waiver to be allowed to play.
Sessions will be open for sign-up on PlayTime Scheduler beginning seven (7) days in advance.
IPA play sessions are scheduled by Player Groups on PlayTime Scheduler, which combine players of similar Skill Levels.
Players should only sign up for sessions that match their current skill level, except when following the IPA sign-up procedure for underused sessions as defined below.
Signed-up players should remove their name from any session in which they’re unable to play as soon as possible to open that spot up for others to play.
Session Waitlist
Each session will have a waitlist.
Players can add their name to empty waitlist spots for full sessions.
Players will be automatically moved from the waitlist to the session list when a spot becomes available.
Players will be moved to the player list in the order in which they were added to the waitlist.
Players will be notified by email if they are moved from the waitlist to the player list.
Waitlisted players can use the PlayTime Scheduler app to determine their current waitlist status.
Waitlisted players should not show up to a session to play if they are still on the waitlist.
Session Limits
Sessions will be limited to a maximum number of players based on the total number of courts available at each location.
Session limits by location are as follows:
Alburgh: 12 players
Donaldson Park: 18 players
Isle La Motte: 18 players
North Hero School: 18 players
Knight Point State Park: 24 players
Session waitlists are limited to 8 players.
Underused Sessions
If a session has at least 8 open slots available after 12 PM (noon) on the day before the session date, players of any skill level can sign up for the session to fill the slots.
If there are at least 4 players from two or more different Player Groups, the courts can be separated by Skill Level at the discretion of the players to keep everybody in games with other players of similar levels.
